During outbreaks, this insect reproduces rapidly,
And can kill millions of pines in a single summer.
The impacts can be devastating.

Rapid detection and treatment
Is the only way to control infestations.

Inspect your pines frequently.
Look for Powder-like boring dust ...
Popcorn-like Apitch tubes in the bark ...
And dramatic changes in needle color.

Contact your local Division of Forestry office.
