Title: Africanized Bees In Florida 1

Length: 30-seconds

We’ve all seen them ... the familiar white honeybee boxes.

These gentle honeybees are managed by beekeepers.

They pollinate crops and are essential for growing food.

But a new bee that’s arrived in Florida isn’t so gentle.

The Africanized bee is very defensive, and is a danger to people and animals.

Africanized bees will take up residence almost anywhere ... possibly, near your home.

Look and listen for Africanized bee colonies. If you find one, leave it alone, and call a pest control professional.
