Florida Ag in the Classroom is a non-profit organization based in Gainesville that is charged with educating Florida students about the importance of the state’s agriculture industry. It accomplishes this important task by providing teachers in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade with curricula, materials, grant money and other programs to help them incorporate agricultural concepts in their language arts, math, science and social studies classes.
Florida Ag in the Classroom is funded by the agriculture specialty license plate known as the Ag Tag. To purchase an Ag Tag, request one from your local license plate agency or visit Florida Ag in the Classroom’s web site at www.agtag.org. It is $22 in addition to the regular cost of your tag.
