Role:
The Bureau of Education and Communication provides creative design and production services that facilitate a variety of promotional, marketing and public awareness campaigns. The bureau helps educate and inform consumers through news releases, brochures and other print publications, graphics presentations, and television and radio programming. It also developed and maintains the division’s primary web sites www.Florida-Agriculture.com and www.FL-Seafood.com. The bureau is organizationally positioned within the Division of Marketing and Development, where it performs its primary role of executing marketing campaigns on behalf of Florida's agricultural community. Bureau productions are a major component of the Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign (FAPC), which assists the state's agricultural industry in expanding markets and promoting and selling Florida-grown products under the "Fresh from Florida" label. The bureau works with other divisions to distribute press releases to inform the public about various regulatory and promotional activities of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The bureau produces the Florida Market Bulletin, the Department Annual Report and the Open Lines employee newsletter. The bureau mails out marketing publications and other informational and promotional materials upon request.
