Donald Coker is a native of Florida and was raised in Alachua County. He is currently Chief of State Markets with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and has served in this capacity for thirteen years.
Don is a graduate of Florida State University with a master's degree in business administration and a bachelor's degree in history. He is the past president of the National Association of Produce Market Managers.
The Bureau of State Farmers' Markets has consulted in establishing over 80 community farmers' markets in Florida over the past five years and has brought the WIC/Farmers' Market Nutrition Program to 16 counties in Florida.
